Let’s see.

NEGATIVE FORM
What about the negative form?

To make negative sentences we use:

Did not or the contraction didn’t

Did not= didn’t

Let’s change these sentences into negative ones:

- I went to the disco last night.
Negative form: I didn’t go to the disco last night.

- Rita met new people last week.

Negative form: Rita didn’t meet new people last week.

Remember that the formula is :

Subject DIDN’T VERB IN THE BASE FORM COMPLEMENT

I DIDN’T MEET NEW PEOPLE LAST WEEK

THESE SENTENCES…….. ARE WRONG :

I DIDN’ T MET NEW PEOPLE LAST WEEK.

I DIDN’T WENT TO THE DISCO LAST NIGHT.
