Answer :

1) Hardware is any physical component of a computer system. Example

: computer screen, keyboard , mouse
2) The CPU, or Central Processing Unit, is both the heart and brains of
every computer. Every single operation that you do with your
Computer is processed in the CPU. The CPU processes
instructions it receives in the process of decoding data.

3) A graphics card is a set of computer chips on a circuit board roughly

the size of an index card. It is also known as video card. The chips are
dedicated to a single task which is to take video data from the PC's
processor and convert it to signals for your monitor. Graphic designers,
gamers and multimedia enthusiasts typically purchase more
sophisticated graphics cards; these plug into the motherboard and
deliver faster graphics processing and better image quality.
4) RAM (random access memory) is where information is temporarily
stored while it is being accessed or worked on. It is volatile which
means that its contents are lost when the device is powered off.
Meanwhile, a storage device can be used as a permanent storage
because it is non-volatile. This means that its contents are retained
even when the device is powered off. An example of a storage device is
a pen drive.

5) A Digital camera is portable and can capture any real life

image, in a true 3D effect and feel. A scanner is limited to flat
2D previously captured and rendered images purely to dump
them into a digital format. The single advantage that a
scanner has over a Digital camera is the ability to capture a
near true copy of the original that can be used to create
accurate identical copies. A scanner is ideal when a copy of a
flat 2D pre rendered image, including text, is required. And a
Digital Camera is ideal when a 2D image is required of a 3D
Object. Another example of an input device is touchpad.

6) Both are used to take information in paper into a digital format. OMR is
only used detect if there is a mark or not. While, OCR needs to detect
the marks but it has limited possible character to be detected.

7) System software is general purpose software which is used to

operate computer hardware. It provides platform to run
application softwares. Systems software are installed on the
computer when operating system is installed. In general, the
user does not interact with system software because it works
on the background. System software can run independently
and it provides platform for application software to work. An
example of system software is compiler.
Application software is specific purpose software which is
used by user for performing specific task. Examples include
Word processor and web browser. Application system is
installed according to user’s requirements. In general, users
interact with the application software . However, application
software can’t run independently because it needs the system
software to be able to run.

8) An operating system is a system program that controls and organises

the general operation of the computer. In any computer, the operation
system organises the use of memory between programs and it controls
the backing store and peripherals such as scanners and printers.

9) Both are used in website development. As the web authoring software

makes the user easier to read the document that requires HTML and
the word processor allows the document to show the texts inside the
document so that the user can see what is inside is.

10) An applet is a Java program that run in web browser. It is used to add
small, interactive components or enhancements to a webpage. These
includes the button and scrolling in the web page.

11) Designer has to choose colors carefully since certain people can be
affected by color, it may relate to human’s health and it can set the
mood of certain people. Aside from that colors have different
meanings and it communicates with the audience. For instance, the

website has bright color and bright background color. The audiences
definitely will not able to see the website very clearly. Therefore, to
make the website can be seen. The color choice is important is
designing.
