Past in the present

How much do we know about the past and do we need it, because many of it will tell us that we need to
look into the future, and the past is not relevant. In fact, the past plays an important role in our life.
In my opinion, we owe the people of science. After all, it is thanks to science we have such an advanced and
intelligent present. One of the outstanding people who has earned the respect of the people is Dmitry Mendeleev.
Mendeleev is known to the world community primarily as a chemical scientist. Physics, metrology, economics,
geology, instrumentation, pedagogy are just a part of those scientific fields in which Mendeleev made his significant
contribution.

The well-known periodic table of chemical elements created by this scientist was not actually drawn up in
just one night. This story is known from the professor of geology Alexander Inostrantsev. Mendeleev himself said
more than once that it was not at all like that. Indeed, the famous table was not born overnight.

To sum up, I would like to encourage people to be more interested in history, as well as people who have
changed our world, because they deserve memory and honor.
