INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Young people are the world’s largest resource in development. Forty percent of

the world’s population is under 20 years of age and over one billion are between

the ages of 15 and 25.

Increasing youth community participation , however has been problematic . since

computers are important aspect of youth culture , they may offer solutions to

increasing and supporting community participation.

Social media marketing is the use of social media platforms to connect with your

audience to build your brand, increase sales, and drive website traffic. This

involves publishing great content on your social media profiles, listening to and

engaging your followers, analysing your results, and running social media

advertisements.

The major social media platforms (at the moment) are Facebook, Instagram,

Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat.

There are also a range of social media management tools that help businesses to

get the most out of the social media platforms listed above.

Social media marketing first started with publishing. Businesses were sharing

their content on social media to generate traffic to their websites and, hopefully,

2|Page
sales. But social media has matured far beyond being just a place to broadcast

content.

Nowadays, businesses use social media in a myriad of different ways. For

example, a business that is concerned about what people are saying about its

brand would monitor social media conversations and response to relevant

mentions (social media listening and engagement). A business that wants to

understand how it’s performing on social media would analyze its reach,

engagement, and sales on social media with an analytics tool (social media

analytics). A business that wants to reach a specific set of audience at scale would

run highly-targeted social media ads (social media advertising).

The Five Core Pillars of Social Media Marketing

Strategy

Planning and Publishing

Listening and Engagement

Analytics and Reporting

Advertising

3|Page
1. Strategy

Before you dive right in and publish something on social media, let’s take a step

back and look at the bigger picture. The first step is to think about your social

media strategy.

What are your goals?

How can social media help you achieve your business goals? Some businesses

use social media for increasing their brand awareness, others use it for driving

website traffic and sales. Social media can also help you

generate engagement around your brand, create a community, and serve as a

customer support channel for your customers.

Which social media platforms do you want to focus on? The major social

media platforms, mentioned above, are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn,

Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat. There are also smaller and up-and-coming

platforms, such as Tumblr, Tik Tok, and Anchor, and social messaging platforms,

such as Messenger, WhatsApp, and WeChat. When starting out, it’s better to pick

a few platforms that you think your target audience is on than to be on all

platforms.

What type of content do you want to share? What type of content will attract

your target audience best? Is it images, videos, or links? Is it educational or

4|Page
entertaining content? A good place to start is to create a marketing persona, which

will help you answer these questions. And this doesn’t have to be fixed forever;

you can always change your strategy according to how your social media posts

perform.

2. Planning and Publishing

Social media marketing for small businesses usually starts with having a

consistent presence on social media. Close to three billion people

(3,000,000,000!) use social media. By being present on social media platforms,

you give your brand an opportunity to be discovered by your future customers.

Publishing to social media is as simple as sharing a blog post, an image, or a video

on a social media platform. It’s just like how you would share on your personal

Facebook profile. But you will want to plan your content ahead of time instead

of creating and publishing content spontaneously. Also, to ensure that you are

maximizing your reach on social media, you need to publish great content that

your audience likes, at the right timing and frequency.

3. Listening and Engagement

As your business and social media following grow, conversations about your

brand will also increase. People will comment on your social media posts, tag

you in their social media posts, or message you directly.

5|Page
People might even talk about your brand on social media without letting you

know. So you will want to monitor social media conversations about your brand.

If it’s a positive comment, you get a chance to surprise and delight them.

Otherwise, you can offer support and correct a situation before it gets worse.

You can manually check all your notifications across all the social media

platforms but this isn’t efficient and you won’t see posts that didn’t tag your

business’s social media profile. You can instead use a social media listening and

engagement tool that aggregates all your social media mentions and messages,

including posts that didn’t tag your business’s social media profile.

4. Analytics

Along the way, whether you are publishing content or engaging on social media,

you will want to know how your social media marketing is performing. Are you

reaching more people on social media than last month? How many positive

mentions do you get a month? How many people used your brand’s hashtag on

their social media posts?

The social media platforms themselves provide a basic level of such information.

To get more in-depth analytics information or to easily compare across social

media platforms, you can use the wide range of social media analytics tools

6|Page
5. Advertising

When you have more funds to grow your social media marketing, an area that

you can consider is social media advertising. Social media ads allow you to reach

a wider audience than those who are following you.

Social media advertising platforms are so powerful nowadays that you can

specify exactly who to display your ads to. You can create target audiences based

on their demographics, interests, behaviors, and more.

When you are running many social media advertising campaigns at once, you can

consider using a social media advertising t0ool to make bulk changes, automate

processes, and optimize your ads.

Social media platforms are always evolving. When Facebook first started, people

can only share text updates. Now, there are so many content formats such as

images, videos, live videos, and Stories.

Good social media tools help you find more content to share. Use them to

schedule posts at the perfect time, as well as measure the effectiveness of

your campaigns. What’s more, they give actionable insights you can use to

improve your social presence.

visitors at exactly the right moment. It has a drag-and-drop template for

social media marketing campaign. Simply use the new ChatBot element to

best-performing optins over Facebook Messenger.

That way, you can bring the optins to your leads. Not the other way around.

2. Audiense

Audiense is a social intelligence tool that allows you to discover new target

audiences and segment them. Most importantly, it helps you understand

your audience by telling you how they tick. Then, Audiense uses tracking

8|Page
3. Tweepi

relevant users interested in your topic. Then you can engage those users by

mentioning them in tweets, adding them to a list, or following them.

buyer persona. They do this by looking at real-time social behavior then

categorizing individuals based on that data. Once you have your audience,

sure only the relevant segments get your content and promotions.

Security Tools

6. ZeroFOX

9|Page

reputations. They do this by removing offensive and intentionally disruptive

content, eliminating impersonation profiles, and protecting followers against

scammers. Think of ZeroFOX as a massive public relations tool that also has

with your content and adjust your campaign accordingly.

12. Facebook Analytics

Overall, Facebook Analytics works the same way as Twitter’s analytics

tool. It looks at your content and how readers have interacted with it. Pretty

simple stuff, right?

11 | P a g e
Yes and no. While both platforms serve the same purpose, Facebook’s

reports are much more comprehensive than Twitter’s. Facebook Analytics

doesn’t just show you how many people interacted with your content. It

shows you who interacted with it and where.

Of course, this shouldn’t come as that big of a surprise. Facebook has more

features than Twitter. Naturally, there’s more information to track.

And if you run a Facebook group, don’t forget to check that analytics data as

well.

13. Analisa.io

Analisa.io gives you a range of marketing tools for monitoring profiles and

hashtags. You can use it to:

• Snoop on your competitors.

• Monitor campaign performance.

• Tweak profile engagement.

• Connect with influencers.

Analisa.io’s basic campaign research tools are 100% free. Not bad,

considering they offer more data than Instagram’s own marketing tool,

Insights.
12 | P a g e
Of course, there’s also a premium subscription starting at $59.35 a month. It

gives you even more tools for connecting with influencers and researching

markets. It’s great for serious brands that want to overhaul their Instagram

strategy.

Content Creation Tools

media accounts. This gives your users the chance to discover and engage

social platforms. And the editable designs allow you to collaborate with your

needs. It lets you create stunning images for your campaigns. Use it to jazz

up your content so that more people like and share your posts.

with loads of ready-made templates and cool graphics you can use. This

means you can create an attention-grabbing featured photo in minutes.

analytics platform, and even a social listening tool. All of this is helpful for

optimizing content and understanding how different demographics interact

on social media.

22. SocialOomph

15 | P a g e

other apps on this list. But its SocialOomph’s functionality that makes it a

keeper. That’s because SocialOomph makes it easy to upload multiple posts

at once, then schedule when each post gets published. You have full control

over when and where your content goes live, and you can even manage

multiple platforms at once.

features and tools for improving audience engagement. Not too shabby,

right?

in the industry. With it, you can schedule any type of post across any platform

day” or “weekdays.” Even better, you can use its follow-up tool to evaluate

past posts, seeing which were most effective and why.

25. MeetEdgar

MeetEdgar is a social media scheduling tool that allows you to recycle old

posts. All you have to do is organize your posts by category and schedule

your content. After that, Edgar goes through your queue and uploads content

from each category. Once it’s gone through all your scheduled posts, it’ll start

recycling older updates.

26. Hootsuite

Hootsuite is a simple but powerful tool for the average social media

marketer. You can use Hootsuite to schedule posts in advance on a number

of different social platforms. Its analytics tool lets you measure content

engagement, so you understand how your campaign is performing.

Popular for its free social media tools, Hootsuite also has a relatively

inexpensive paid option for businesses.

17 | P a g e
27. IFTTT

Funny name, but IFTTT is actually an acronym that stands for “if this, then

that”. With it, you can combine different tools together to create individual

“recipes,” or sets of instructions. For example, you can set it up to send a

tweet every time you make a new Instagram post. It’s a bit tricky to

navigate at first, but you can use other recipes to simply plug and play.

Best of all, it’s completely free to use.

29. Everypost

Everypost makes it easy to curate content all from one place. It does this

by pulling together relevant multimedia from YouTube, Instagram, Flickr,

RSS feeds, and more. Then, you can schedule your posts and customize

them for the audience on each social platform. That way, you maximize

the effectiveness of each and every post.

News Filtering Tools

18 | P a g e
30. Feedly

Feedly is best known as a content discovery tool like BuzzSumo, but it

works a bit differently. It’s a content aggregator, and you can use it to

collect content from any number of different areas, combining your ideal

reading material into a single feed that you can browse at your leisure.

It won’t offer the same in-depth metrics that BuzzSumo does, but it gives

you ample reading material. That way, you never run out of things to post

about on your social profiles.

SWOT Analysis

Strengths

• NGOs have some strengths that commercial companies don’t. For one,

NGOs usually are tax exempt.

• They can offer products at a discount since they don’t have the expense of

taxes, and sometimes they can offer products to buyers who pay no sales

tax on the purchase.

• NGOs often have a volunteer staff in many roles; artists, canvassers,

attorneys. Volunteers can mean an enormous savings to the business,

which is particularly important to a small non profit.

• The board of directors must by law be composed of volunteers, which can

an be advantage to the company.

Weaknesses

• Most small non profits barely cover their expenses with revenue. They

can’t match the salaries of their for-profit competitors.

• Non profit professionals typically are more focused on job satisfaction as

compensation, particularly in small companies. An entrepreneur will have

no opportunity for return on investment and often can expect a minimal

salary.

20 | P a g e
• The budget problem also may be evident in purchasing from suppliers.

Small NGOs are especially vulnerable to budgetary deficits and need to

husband their endowments.

Opportunities

• Any grant that a charity may be eligible for is an opportunity. A grant may

be from a government or private agency or group. There are many grants

being offered even during a recession. Finding them and applying for them

is a considerable task.

• Non profits often enjoy alliances with other organizations , commercial

business or other NGOs. Cause marketing, for example, is a system in

which aportion of the purchase price charged by a commercial business is

donated to a specific charity. Ideally, it offers benefits to both

organizations, as well as to the buyer, whose charitable giving

is facilitated.

Threats

• Non profits are very vulnerable to economic crises. Unfortunately,

charitable giving is one of the first cash outflows that consumers cut back

on when money is tight.

• Public charities are held to a higher standard than for-profits. Since they

depend on contributions, non profits need to avoid the perception of

impropriety. Even a small scandal can be damaging.

21 | P a g e

your business will have a blast. Having an Online Reputation Manager can be

highly useful for you. Including Social Media Listening and Social Media

REVIEW OF LITERATURE

Youth empowerment foundation is organization to give direction these

arrows through their initiatives and programs. Empowering youths to grow,

learn and be the torchbearers for the future is one of the major impact’s

organization aims to achieve.

YEF is a non-profit organization founded in June 2017 by Mr. Rambabu

Sharma. Inspired by his own life journey, the founder along with his team

has laid a strong foundation to educate the underprivileged children of the

society and hence bridge the gap between them and the world. As explained

by the founder himself in his story, poverty and education are inextricably

linked, because people living in poverty may stop going to school, so they can

work which leaves them without literacy that they need for their careers.

26 | P a g e
Education in all different forms is a key for breaking the cycle of poverty. It

increases food security, decreases malnutrition, enhances standard of living

and improves gender equality. It teaches children what they can and should

expect from adults and in turn also shows adults the benefits of respecting

their children’s rights.

With the different kinds of training and initiatives such as hamari

paathshala, Candle making, English learning, computer learning and

training, YEF is providing a platform that will help these children to grow

for themselves as well as for the society. Skills taught by YEF such as an

additional language, or any other skill help these children to be on their own

and hence be the strongest pillars of the society in every aspect.

It also helps to develop confidence which in turn adds to their mind

development and mental health. Being able to look up to themselves for their

careers and being self-dependent leaves them with a spark that brings out

the best in these children.

Youths are the arrow to the future – Ifeanyi Erich Onuoha.

27 | P a g e
We have taken initiative for social welfare by the end of 2015.Formally registered

under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in 2017.Centers were opened to

equip our youngsters with knowledge and skills to make them self-reliant. Our

team visited slums for the counselling and parents. More than 100 children/youth

enrolled in free education and skill training programs. Group of unemployed

women also joined and trained under these programs.

Young people are the world’s largest resource in development. Forty percent of

the world’s population is under 20 years of age and over one billion are between

the ages of 15 and 25. In some developing countries , youth constitute more than

two thirds of the population. Young people’s high level of consciousness are often

underestimated , but they care about many things including climate change and

the environment , the spread of HIV and other diseases , economic inequality and

the lack of employment opportunities , social justice and human rights. Because

of their ideals , those among them who are proficient and are motivated to creste

change have a propensity for linking the use of technologies to development

goals. ( Empowering Youth to Change the World)

AN EMPOWEWRED YOUTH is the nation’s best hope for the future . given

their inspiring capacity for creativity , ingenuity and restless energy , it is vital to

28 | P a g e
create an environment that can harness these positive qualities and nurture them

to be able to forge towards the future with confidence and noble expectations.

Youth are among disenfranchised groups . adults typically view youth as the

cause of community deterioration rather than as a community asset. Youth often

feel they have little voice in their communities. Youth participation in their

communities can positively influence programs so that they are more responsive

to youth’s needs and can help youth’s sense of self-determination from a

community and individual perspective , thereby promoting their health.

Increasing youth community participation , however has been problematic . since

computers are important aspect of youth culture , they may offer solutions to

increasing and supporting community participation.

CHARITABLE COMMITMENT This is how how much of a charity’s total

expense went directly to the charitable purpose (also known as program support

or program expense), as opposed to management, certain overhead expenses and

fundraising. The average this year is 87%, up from 85% last year. Charities that

receive most of their donations as gift-in-kind do better here, because individual

gifts are larger and involve little or no fundraising expense

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

The research methodology for youth empowerment foundation follows

following conditions

1. The research objective should be well defined.

2. The primary research cannot be escaped, it would carry the deepest of the

deepest data, which can be nourished to valid information.

3. Data has to be analysed, studied with secondary research, to give a proper

structure to the primary research.

Data collection techniques

• Primary Data

The primary data were derived from the answers respondents gave in the

self – administered survey questionnaire prepared.

1. SURVEYS:

Surveys are a type of quantitative primary research that aim to collect specific

data from a sample audience.

Surveys can be administered via email, snail mail, or phone, and usually target

customers or potential customers.

30 | P a g e
There are four steps to attacking a survey: identifying your audience, writing the

survey, conducting the survey, and analyzing the data collected.

When you write the survey, keep the questions simple, but be very specific. Also,

including a "reward" for completing the survey--a promotional product or coupon

of some sort--is a good way to increase participation.

Although it is possible to conduct a survey completely in-house, your best bet

would be to outsource the survey conducting and data analyzing to a research

firm that conducts surveys as part of their business.

2. QUESTIONNAIRE:

A questionnaire is a research instrument consisting of a series

of questions (or other types of prompts) for the purpose of

gathering information from respondents. Questionnaires have

advantages over some other types of surveys in that they are cheap, do

not require as much effort from the questioner as verbal or telephone

surveys, and often have standardized answers that make it simple to

compile data[3]. However, such standardized answers may frustrate

users as the possible answers may not accurately represent their desired

responses[4]. Questionnaires are also sharply limited by the fact that

respondents must be able to read the questions and respond to them.

31 | P a g e
Thus, for some demographic groups conducting a survey by

questionnaire may not be concretely feasible.

• Secondary data

The secondary data on the other hand , were derived from the findings

stated in an online documents and literatures related to research problem

these were based from the articles about empowering youth with the use of

information technology.

1. WEBSITE

A large amount of data has been collected from the website of youth

empowerment foundation. Also yoth empowerment foundation

provides a helpline number on their website on which any needy can

call for help or even the helper can contact on behalf of needy.

2. PUBLISHED ARTICLES:

and audience on youth empowerment and needy’s that need help for their

basic livelihood and sustaining life.

STATISTICAL TREATMENT

The following statistical treatment will be used by the researcher to answer the specific

problems and in testing the hypothesis of the study.

Percentage distribution

It describes the relationship of a part to its whole. The information gathered from

computation can be summarized in percentage distribution.

Important characteristics of a large mass of data can be readily assessed by grouping the data

into different classes then determining , the number of observations that fall in each of the

classes such as arrangement , in tabular form is called a frequency distribution. The formula

for the computation of percentage distribution is

=f/N*100

Where:

%=percentage

F=frequency

N=total number of respondents

LIMITATIONS OF STUDY

• Feeling Disconnected

You will not be able to experience what it is like to work with other people in the office. You

most probably only really communicate with the person in charge of the project you’re working

on and any other team members on the project. You may miss out on learning from others in

the office or being able to get an immediate response to any questions you may have.

Furthermore, you may feel left out as you may not be able to attend social events with your

colleagues.

Having that connection with other colleagues in the office can be crucial in developing your

understanding of a professional work environment. In addition to that, it can be helpful to be

in an office so that you are able to ask questions directly versus having to communicate solely

online. If you are someone who does need an in-office experience then a remote internship may

not be for you. That’s okay. It is important to understand what type of environment would be

most beneficial for your career goals.

However…

It should be noted that there are ways to help if you are feeling disconnected. These include

establishing regular video calls with your supervisor throughout the week and asking if it’s

possible to be connected to other interns or colleagues. In addition to that, be sure to attend any

virtual social events that the company may host, or even suggest that they host a virtual social

event so you can join.

35 | P a g e
• Miscommunication

In online internships, everything is reliant on communicating things clearly via emails or video-

calls. Therefore, miscommunication can occur during your internship especially if things are a

bit disorganised. You may not have completely understood the project you’re working on

entirely or a question you’ve asked may have been misinterpreted. This can be frustrating

especially if it is an ongoing problem.

It is common with online internships that you will be part of formal weekly video calls as well

as communicating with colleagues via email and instant messages. These forms of

communication are often subject to misinterpretation which can easily lead to

misunderstandings. It’s important to be mindful of this as your colleague may not have meant

something the way you may have interpreted it and if you respond too quickly it may make a

situation worse than it needs to be.

Therefore…

Some of the best ways to combat miscommunication are to ensure clear deadlines and goals

are set for your project. If there are questions that arise during your internship, note them all

down and ask to discuss them over a quick call or email. Do not be afraid to ask questions. The

more questions you ask the better you may be able to understand the details of your work while

also eliminating the possibility of any miscommunication. Employers would rather that you

asked more questions and provided the correct work than stay quiet and submit something that

is incorrect or not what was asked of you.

36 | P a g e
• Distractions

It can be easy to not focus on your work if you aren’t in an office setting. Your phone, a noisy

environment or being around others can lead you to waste valuable time originally dedicated

to your internship. It happens, we are all susceptible to it. However, if you are continuously

distracted it may cause you to rush to complete an assignment before its deadline. Therefore,

the work may also be affected by it.

Some of the best ways to avoid distractions are to set a fixed amount of time to sit down and

do your projects. Turn your phone on silent and facedown so as to avoid the temptation to

answer a text or social media notification. Also, be sure to schedule a brain break. Step away

from the computer, go for a walk, and let your mind step away from it all. Afterwards, you can

come back to your work feeling refreshed and energised to keep going.

• Lack of Networking Opportunities

One of the best things about an in-office internship is the number of people you meet, many of

those will be in your desired career field who may be able to present you with future

opportunities. In a remote internship, you will be limited to who you come in contact with.

Therefore, your network pool may be limited.

However, in today’s ever-growing world of technology, you may find that remote work is

becoming more popular. So, there may be more opportunities to network online. Though it may

not be the same as in-office networking.

• Requires Self-Motivation

37 | P a g e
A remote internship is challenging in the way that you need to have self-motivation and time

management to be successful. These are all things you can learn during your remote internship,

but if this something you know you may struggle with anyway, a remote internship may not be

for you.

It is often hard to determine if you are a self-motivated person. You may find that once you’ve

begun your internship, your self-motivation will improve especially if you’re enjoying the

work. However, it is common for your motivation to drop at some point in the internship,

maybe due to a difficult project or feeling overwhelmed by the amount of work, take some time

to reevaluate how to get your passion back by taking a break, changing up your work schedule

or speaking to other colleagues about how they’ve handled similar situations previously.

Final Thoughts

Overall, online internships are a game changer from what we know of as “traditional”

internship experiences. It opens doors to those who could not afford, financially or time-wise,

to participate in an office-based internship experience. It will challenge you to be a self-starter,

communicate with others and push yourself out of your comfort zone.

40 | P a g e
OUR MISSION

We aim to accomplish our mission by spreading education in every village or

slum of India through a team of youths who are working hard to build and

accomplish our dream of an educated India. YEF is committed for the YEF is

committed to working for the upliftment of underprivileged. Empowerment of

the youth is the foremost agenda.

YEF is committed to work for betterment of our society by uplifting

underprivileged and empowering youth. We aim to provide education in every

village and slums of India.

OUR VISION IN ACTION

We have taken initiative for social welfare by the end of 2015.Formally

registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in 2017.Centers

were opened to equip our youngsters with knowledge and skills to make

them self-reliant. Our team visited slums for the counselling and

parents. More than 100 children/youth enrolled in free education and

skill training programs. Group of unemployed women also joined and

trained under these programs.

41 | P a g e
Our Plan

Until we realize our hidden potential, we wait for someone to come and lift us

from our adverse situation. That help is temporary. What happens when no one

is available? we break. This is the story of every life that is struggling to survive.

We fail to realize their true potential and left them there by donating some

money and clothes.

They become dependent on help and keep waiting for the next person. Their

life’s stuck at same place, position and situation. What if, when there is no next

person, they indulge in crime to feed themselves and their family – Hence we

fail.

Youth empowerment foundation is organization to give direction these arrows

through their initiatives and programs. Empowering youths to grow, learn and

be the torchbearers for the future is one of the major impact’s organization aims

to achieve.

42 | P a g e
YEF is a non-profit organization founded in June 2017 by Mr. Rambabu

Sharma. Inspired by his own life journey, the founder along with his team has

laid a strong foundation to educate the underprivileged children of the society

and hence bridge the gap between them and the world. As explained by the

founder himself in his story, poverty and education are inextricably linked,

because people living in poverty may stop going to school, so they can work

which leaves them without literacy that they need for their careers. Education in

all different forms is a key for breaking the cycle of poverty. It increases food

security, decreases malnutrition, enhances standard of living and improves

gender equality. It teaches children what they can and should expect from adults

and in turn also shows adults the benefits of respecting their children’s rights.

With the different kinds of training and initiatives such as hamari paathshala,

Candle making, English learning, computer learning and training, YEF is

providing a platform that will help these children to grow for themselves as well

as for the society. Skills taught by YEF such as an additional language, or any

other skill help these children to be on their own and hence be the strongest

pillars of the society in every aspect. It also helps to develop confidence which

in turn adds to their mind development and mental health. Being able to look up

to themselves for their careers and being self-dependent leaves them with a

spark that brings out the best in these children

PROJECT LOVE IN A BACKPACK

The motive of this project is to help the children of deprived communities by

supporting them and providing a stable economic future. Our volunteers

go to slums and educate children to help them realize their potential.

• .PROJECT HUMARI PAATHSHALA

45 | P a g e
HUMARI PATHSHALA

We have initiated an education platform “HUMARI PATHSHALA” where

children from slum get education and have opportunity to involve in various

activities important for their growth. We ensure that no-one feel small as

everyone is born with a seraphic power in themselves.

A good quality education is the foundation of health and well-being. For people

to lead healthy and productive lives, they need knowledge to prevent sickness and

disease. For children and adolescents to learn, they need to be well nourished and

healthy. Education is a catalyst for development and a health intervention in its

own right. Children in poor countries face many barriers to accessing an

education. Some are obvious – like not having a school to go to – while others

46 | P a g e
are more subtle, like the teacher at the school not having had the training needed

to effectively help children to learn.

CORE PROBLEMS / CHALLENGES:

A good quality education is the foundation of health and well-being. For people

to lead healthy and productive lives, they need knowledge to prevent sickness

and disease. For children and adolescents to learn, they need to be well

nourished and healthy. Education is a catalyst for development and a health

intervention in its own right. Children in poor countries face many barriers to

accessing an education. Some are obvious – like not having a school to go to –

while others are more subtle, like the teacher at the school not having had the

training needed to effectively help children to learn. The barriers to education

are:

1. A lack of funding for education

2. Having no teacher, or having an untrained teacher

3. No classroom

4. A lack of learning materials

5. The exclusion of children with disabilities

47 | P a g e
6. Being the ‘wrong’ gender

7. Living in a country in conflict or at risk of conflict

8. Distance from home to school

9. Hunger and poor nutrition - The impact of hunger on education systems is

gravely underreported. Being severely malnourished, to the point it impacts on

brain development, can be the same as losing four grades of schooling. Around

171 million children in developing countries are stunted by hunger by the time

they reach age 5. Stunting can affect a child’s cognitive abilities as well as their

focus and concentration in school. As a result, stunted children are 19% less

likely to be able to read by age eight. Conversely, good nutrition can be crucial

preparation for good learning.

10. The expense of education (formal or informal fees) - In many developing

countries, over the last decades governments have announced the abolition of

school fees and as a result, seen impressive increases in the number of children

going to school. But for many of the poorest families, school remains too

expensive and children are forced to stay at home doing chores or work

themselves. Families remain locked in a cycle of poverty that goes on for

generations. In many countries in Africa, while education is theoretically free,

in practice ‘informal fees’ see parents forced to pay for ‘compulsory items’ like

uniforms, books, pens, extra lessons, exam fees or funds to support the school

buildings.

➢ Coronavirus Relief: What's Happening and How to

Help

You can help stop the COVID-19 pandemic.. These projects include

efforts to stop the virus’s spread and help patients recover from it,

as well as education initiatives focused on prevention.

You can donate directly to a specific project Coronavirus Relief

Fund and we'll allocate it to where it's needed most. Youth

empowerment foundation will post reports about how your donation

has been put to use.

CHARITABLE COMMITMENT

This is how how much of a charity’s total expense went directly to the charitable

purpose (also known as program support or program expense), as opposed to

management, certain overhead expenses and fundraising. The average this year

is 87%, up from 85% last year. Charities that receive most of their donations as

gift-in-kind do better here, because individual gifts are larger and involve little

or no fundraising expense.

INTERPRETATION

The survey is made of 11 questions and we made a table for every question . the

number of respondents that took the survey is 24. In the first, 1 to 8 questions

most of the answers is in agree , slightly disagree form, the highest percentage is

question number five with eighteen over twenty four that answered slightly

agree and equal to seventy five percent . in the question nine we noticed that

there is only a small gap in the answers , nine answered on the first choice,

seven on the second choice and eight on the third . in the table for question ten

and eleven , first the answers is divided equally and the second most of the

respondents answered no, that takes up seventy percent.

IMPLICATIONS

The survey had eleven questions that asks about the awareness of every

respondent about information technology and youth empowerment . first we ask

if they are familiar of youth empowerment concept, almost half of the

respondents have doubt on the concept of youth empowerment. We also asked

if they benefitted from youth empowerment and half of them disagreed. Which

means youth empowerment is not known because of lack of awareness and

programs about this concept that will help every youth in their careers.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

61 | P a g e
CONCLUSIONS

In doing this research we conclude that the rewards of a youth empowerment

approach in every young people are significant by giving them the chance they

can do anything and not only they can help themselves but also the community .

Youth empowerment will create new leaders that will make the nation prosper.

Having a main aim in a research is very important , our aim is to give awareness

to give youth the significance of youth empowerment.

In order to come up with a good research , a researcher must go through a rigid

and difficult process of gathering data , reading and re reading the articles ,

organization and so forth. In the methodology part , finding articles which were

conducted in different methods in order to discuss how can we help empower

youth.

By critiquing this articles I have learned to organize my thoughts and ideas ,

separate the important and relevant facts from the not so important ones.

We were able to produce a research proposal by reading different articles. The

objective of those articles is to discuss more profoundly youth empowerment

62 | P a g e
RECOMMENDATION

It is highly recommended to continue the proper way to use social networking

sites , internet, electronic gadgets and other technology related things . guiding

other youths and teaching them to become aware of the benefits that they will

gain . we think that the government por the authority should produce more

programs that can help young people and continue it for the next generation that

will come.
