Stacking Load Calculation

Source : TUV Singapore, 31 March 2021. The method certified by SINGLAS

The stacking is based on 3meter stacking of the drums.

This will depend on the drum height ; relative density, etc to do the calculation.
The formula was approved by certified SINGLAS auditors and been used the same for all UN Mark clients.
Below the calculation method:-

Stacking load calculation for 1H1/Y1.4/150/**UN18-2127 PG II Drop height 1.4m as follow :

F ((H/h) - 1 x ( Cxd, (if given))

C = Brimfull capacity .........227kg (filled with water)

D = Density .......................1.4
H = Stacking height ............3 meter = 3000mm
h = Sample height ..............940mm

Empty drum weight : 9.5kg

(3000/940)-1((227-9.5x98%)x1.4)+9.5
2.19x307.2=674.32kg
Therefore, the stacking will be 675kg

If applying for PG I (X) Group - 1H1/X1.8/??/** Drop height will be 2.7m1H1/X1.8/??/** Drop height will be 2.7m

F ((H/h) - 1 x ( Cxd, (if given))

C = Brimfull capacity .........227kg (filled with water)

D = Density .......................1.8
H = Stacking height ............3 meter = 3000mm
h = Sample height ..............940mm

Empty drum weight : 9.5kg

(3000/940)-1((227-9.5x98%)x1.8)+9.5
2.19x393,17=861.042kg
Therefore, the stacking will be 862kg

Simulation

C 227 kg
D 1.4
H 3000 mm
h 940 mm
Drum weight 9.5 kg
2.19 307.91
Stacking load : 675 kg
