APPLICATION PROCEDURE AT THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE

Thank you for your interest in applying for a position with the Ministry of Finance in Timor-Leste.

(https://www.mof.gov.tl/category/employment-opportunities/?lang=en) to learn about all current
vacancies with the Ministry of Finance.
Applications need to be addressed to the Coordinator of Human Resources at email address,
jobs@mof.gov.tl, no later than the closing date specified for the position(s) concerned.
All applications should include:
a) Cover Letter with Response to Selection Criteria (of not more than 4 pages)
b) Detailed Resume (of no more than 7 pages)
Included in the Covering Letter applicants must provide a ‘Response to Selection Criteria’ (see sample
below) which explains how the applicant meets each of the competencies listed in the Terms of
Reference for advertised position.
We do not expect that you cut and paste from your Resume, but rather explain concisely and succinctly
how you have met these competences, possibly providing brief examples etc.
The Ministry is seeking to make an appointment as soon as possible after the advertised closing date.
Due to the volume of applications that the Ministry receives and the need to minimize costs, it is our
practice to communicate further about this vacancy only with those who are short-listed and invited to
attend an interview. If you do not hear from us within two months of the advertised closing date, you
may assume that your application has not been successful.
