Hello! My name is Dessy Setiyawati.

My families and my close friends always

call me by my first name, Dessy. I was born in Kediri on December 17th 2000.
Now, I live in Kediri regency, exactly in Tanon village. I have two brothers
who always give me their endless love.

My mother is a single parent since my beloved father passed away in

2018. It made me feel so hurt, but I do realize that I have to face these all as The
God’s ways in shaping me as a strong woman who has sworn in the bottom of
her heart to make her mother happier in this world. Now I do also realize that
what I have passed is a thing that pushed me to have many dreams. I will
explain them below.

I live in a village which is far away enough from the city of Kediri. After
graduating my study at junior high school, I would like to enroll my self to the
most favorite school in Kediri which is far away enough from my home. Due to
that condition, I could not enroll my self there.

However, in orther to pursue my big dream, becoming a student of the

University of Malang, I tried my best to enroll my self to the best high school in
my own town, Kediri. It was because I believed that the school is my bridge to
study at University of Malang.

The reason why I chose University of Malang is because when I came to

the University of Malang for the first time, I felt pretty good. I do really like the
facilities over there. In addition, it also provides the facility of mosque that
made me happy due to being able to do my duty as a muslim.

To enter University of Malang was not easy for me because I was not a
smart student. I did not have any achievement. That was a difficult condition. I
did not know how I could enter to University of Malang. So, after graduating
from senior hight school in 2019, at the same year, I tried to enroll my self to
the university trough the selection of SBMPTN.
In 2020, I tried to study hard. I did it everyday, every time, and I did always
pray to the God. Because of the spreading of corona virus, I must study alone,
just together with my some books, my phone, and joined online courses and
studies.

This year is very heavy for me. I was frightened if University of malang
rejected me for the second time. So, I prayed, I let The God do the rest of my all
efforts. And finally, my dream came really true. I could be enrolled in the
University of malang. After the long journey to enter University of malang, I do
hope that I will be a good student and can graduate with a statisfying GPA.

Studying hard in the University of malang is one of my ways and efforts

in shaping my self better than before and for the future of mine. I want to be a
top graduate or I can study within 3,5 years of duration. Because, I think if I can
graduate within 3,5 years, I will be able to face some experiences such as
joining ORMAWA or others. The experiences can make us better because the
experiences are the best teacher for every huma being. Furthemore, we also
pray, sholawat and give alms.
