Letter of Recommendation for Ryan Fischer,

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Ryan Fischer. As his Varsity Soccer
Coach I have worked closely with Ryan for the past three years. Through his athletic
performance and high level of work produced, I can see that he is a dedicated and hardworking
athlete and individual.
Ryan is very disciplined and driven and has proven this during his four years as a member of our
soccer athletics program. Ryan’s dedication to the sport and his team has transformed him as an
athlete and team player.
Similarly, Ryan’s work ethic is one of the many qualities that have allowed him to become a
better soccer player every year. He often pushes the limits of his body farther than most of his
teammates. Ryan understands that ability paired with hard work can produce remarkable results,
in sports and in life. His work ethic has rubbed off on many of his teammates due to his inspiring
nature, allowing them to also push themselves. In this way, Ryan has become a leader who
inspires not by what he says, but by what he does. In the sporting world, this is a rare and
coveted leadership quality.
Playing in unfamiliar roles, under pressure, and still being successful is second nature for Ryan.
His dedication to his team has motivated him to sacrifice his body and face challenges head on,
whether he comes out bruised or hurt. Ryan has always set his ego and pride to the side for the
sake of the team and has been willing to play in positions on the field that may not have been his
favorite or natural positions. This selflessness is the foundation of what it means to be a
teammate and Ryan is the most selfless player I have had the honor of coaching.
It is safe to say that Ryan is the type of athlete and a leader that coaches dream of having. He
maintains high standards for himself and his team and takes his sport and education seriously. I
am sure Ryan will be a success in whatever he chooses to do. It has been a pleasure having Ryan
as a student and an athlete.
