Dear Parents and Guardians of Christ Our Savior School,
On behalf of the Archdiocese of Chicago, | regret to inform you of some difficult news. As you know,
enrollment at Christ Our Savior School has fallen in recent years, jeopardizing the future of the
school. The low enrollment and corresponding large financial debt make it necessary to close Christ
Our Savior at the end of the current academic year.
| recognize this news presents you and your family with challenges. We are committed to making the
transitions caused by this closure as easy as possible. Within the next week, a representative from
the Archdiocese of Chicago will reach out to you via email about Catholic schools ready to accept
your children. | hope you will consider keeping your child in Catholic school and continuing his or her
learning experience in a faith-filled environment.
To assist you in this transition, we have prepared materials to prepare you for conversations with
your children about these tough issues. You will also receive a map of alternative Catholic schools.
We realize you may have questions, Our transition support coordinator, Daniela Polanco, will be
available to answer your questions about Catholic school options and discuss next steps at
dpolanco@archchicago.org or 312,534.5215.She speaks both English and Spanish,

a strong education to generations of young men and women, helping them develop intellectually,
physically and spiritually.
Please know we remain committed to your children's Catholic education and will do everything we
can to assist you in the days, weeks and months ahead. | am praying for you, your family and the
