College Research Reflection

1. List the campuses you plan on applying to or have already applied to. Highlight the three
most important criteria you used in determining where to apply.
● Miracosta College: I used the location.
● Ucsd: I used research on the benefits they have.
● Ucla: I used what courses they have that I am interested in.

2. Which campus is the one you would most like to attend? Explain why this campus is your
first choice compared to the others. I would like to attend MiraCosta College, it is because I
am already attending there, and is closest to where I live.

3. What will be your intended education goal? How does this goal relate to your chosen
career? What resources do these campuses have to support you in this career field? My
education goal is to become an actor. Or eventually become a neurologist. They have drama
courses, and the have science courses.

4. How do the costs of attendance compare at each campus? How do you plan to cover the
costs of attendance if you are accepted? Miracosta is much affordable. Ucsd is 20,000 to
30,000. And Ucla is a little more expensive.

5. Do you plan on transferring to a four year college? If so, which campuses are you interested
in transferring to? I am still deciding on transferring, if I do, I will go to Ucsd.

6. Are there transfer agreements available? If so, which agreements do you plan to use to
successfully transfer? What are the requirements of these agreements? There are transfer
agreements for getting a associate degree to transfer to get a bachelor degree. The
requirements are going through general ed to get a associate degree.

7. Which classes are transferable from the community college you plan to attend to the
campus you plan to transfer to? Are there classes that will not transfer? General ed classes
are transferable, such as basic academic classes. There are alot of classes that are
transferable.
