Compressed air from the air compressors is sent to both instrument and plant air headers. The Stream going to the Instrument air system is passed through a heatless air dryer package where moisture ‘content is reduced to achiove a dew point of -20 degree C @ 8.5 Barg. ‘The unit is located between the demineralized water storage tank, the substation number 9 and the unit, 6100-6800 pipe rack and interfaces with all units in the Upgrader. The Plant and instrument Air unit consists of two vendor's packages and other equipment. + Instrument & plant air compressors which includes four compressors, intercoolers, aftercoolers, electrical motors andior steam turbines and the compressors controt system. - Two instrument alr dryers each includes air dryer prefiters, desiccant vessels, purge vent silencer, e air dryers afterfiters and related control system.
