Examples of Adverbs

Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. They

can add to or change the meaning of a word. Often, they
end in -ly and like to answer the following questions:

WHERE?
EXTENT?
HOW?
WHEN? downstairs
almost
everywhere
briskly also
here
early brutally enough
in
first cheerfully only
inside
last expertly not
outside
later randomly quite
somewhere
never sloppily rather
there
now uneasily so
underground
regularly weirdly too
upstairs
today wholeheartedly very
tomorrow wickedly
yesterday
