Microwave Communications Technician

Tasks:
1.1.1.1 Support and monitoring of professional digital microwave PtP and
PtMP systems and antennae deployed by the organisation in the field
and HQ. Install, configure, maintain and support equipment and
systems providing microwave links. Troubleshoot throughput,
connectivity and infrastructure problems. Monitor and analyse the
performance of microwave equipment. Provide information on
availability of support packs, relevant firmware updates.
1.1.1.2 Liaise with clients and counterparts within and outside the
organisation
Requirements:
1.1.1.3 Minimal 5 year experience in installing, configuring and managing
microwave solutions.
1.1.1.4 Experience in managing and monitoring all components related to
microwave solutions. Experience with lightning protection. Experience
with RF electronics and electronic test and measure equipment such
as spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
1.1.1.5 Knowledge of the ITIL framework. Experience in customer services
and the ability to provide a professional interface with the user
community. Good interpersonal skills.
1.1.1.6 Attention to detail. Proven ability to work under pressure. Ability to
work outside normal working hours if required
1.1.1.7 Industry recognized certifications are an asset.
