Article Summary

The article talks about the fact that universities do not give the importance that is due to the introductory course,
it also talks about the fact that there are two types of students, the first of these is the student who is interested in
literature and the second the one who studies the course to acquire knowledge of general culture. He also relates
that the main objective of the literature course is to provide knowledge and understanding to students in order to
awaken in them the enthusiasm and love for reading, but most teachers are looking for their students to read
exorbitant numbers of books novels of the Shakespearean era and memorize the birth and death dates of these
important authors for literature. For this reason, there are too many students who do not invest or generate that
love for literature and these instead of improving only do not pay enough attention to the importance of
literature. It is also said that thanks to this methodology there will be students who liked the different authors
who were exposed or taught by teachers or perhaps others who are attracted to garbage as the author expresses
it. For this reason, it is emphasized that success or failure depends largely on the methodology used by the
teacher to teach.
And to finish, the author of the article is insistent that the main objective of a literature teacher should be the
understanding of his students and that they persuade the magic the essence of each author and each literary
work.

Reflection

The point of view of the author of the article is important, I share the idea that when you read reading, you do
not find meaning in reading, you do not find that flavor in the literary work that you have in your hands, in my
experience as a reader that they have me instilled from an early age it has always been important for me to
strengthen ties with the author of the work and thus one enjoys reading much more, literature is important in
the educational field for this we must take into account the tools that we can implement, acquire and show our
students and ourselves, that is why the curriculum in the teaching and learning of Literature must take into
account different proposals and didactic methods so that students feel interested and motivated to learn and
discover the wonders that literature offers , I believe that it is also important to instill from an early age the love
for books, for authors and for writing because they facilitate us at the moment To keep growing the search for
the literary genre that we are going to follow or if we really want to dedicate ourselves to literature, in short,
literature opens endless doors to knowledge.
