Introduction

In this essay what I’m looking to explain “ How does politics relates to politics?” and for
that Im going to be explaining what philosophy is at first place, and also what politics is,
and how they are not just related , how they are deeply linked.

At first time when i pick this topic the first thing that came to my mind was – wow this
really seems more complicated that what i thought, I don’t know how I’m going to do this?
– but as I was reading about philosophy and politics, started to make more sense to me and
my second thought was – how philosophy can not be related to politics, is like coffee and
dugouts – also I’ll explain one of the main theories of Plato one of the best politicians and
philosophers that this planet have ever known, so here we go.

How does philosophy relates to politics?

I think first we have to understand how this is a total truth we need to know what
philosophy is: it is the love of wisdom and knowledge. Starting with this concept i can see
how the first philosophers looked how the men daily face problems of adaptation to the
condition of life on this planet and the environment that they were immerse.
In the other hand politics is : is a process by which groups of people make collective
decisions and politicians are in charged of seek for those decisions to be attended, so were
is the link here?.

First, the philosophy is the base of almost every science of today: an example is the
philosophers most of the time they were into mathematics , astrology, history, and the list
goes on and on, and from those bases more philosophers started to make ramifications of
the first thinking’s, ideas and theories with the intention to go deeper to find more and
précises answers for more précises questions because as soon as they found on answer one
hundred question were linked to that answer, finally one of those questions led to the politic
as a science so here is our first link.

Another thing that relates philosophy to politics is the fact that a lot of philosophers were in
some point involved in politics: as i said the identified the problems and they were looking
for the welfare of the society some of them got so into that that they made the greatest
politic theories ever, some failed, some of them were rejected and some of them were so
bright that they still being use in our times, like socialism, capitalism for example.

Philosophers and politics look for one thin in common: welfare , here is what I would say
the strongest link, why? Because philosophers had the first ideas of what we have now the
modern state , the institutions, how one society in different social classes could have
welfare living in a republic ruled by equality and justice , and politics is the science in
charged of see what the people needs , and requires to have that welfare.

Plato believed that there could be a body of knowledge whose attainment would make it
possible to heal political problems, such as the corruption of morals, which can bring a city
to a decline. The doctrine of the harmony of interests, fairness as the basis of the best
political order, the mixed constitution, the rule of law, the distinction between good and
deviated forms of government, practical wisdom as the quality of good leadership, and the
importance of virtue and transcendence for politics are the political ideas that can rightly be
associated with Plato. They have profoundly influenced subsequent political thinkers.

Conclusion

The main political theories assume the ethical and hence political primacy of humanity – at
least on this planet – also to define what they consider the most appropriate institutions for
human survival, development, morality and happiness.

The major theories turned into a vast range of discussion and debate on issues as the law,
economy, freedom, gender, nationality, violence, war, and the list keeps going, so we see
that philosophy are related not just to politics but to big fan of sciences , I say philosophy is
the root of politics
