на тему: “Travelling. Bucket list”

Тема заняття: “Travelling. Bucket list”
Тип заняття: з домінантою “ Практика у спілкуванні”
Вид заняття: практичне заняття (заняття з розвитку лексичних та фонетичних
навичок, вмінь читання, аудіювання, мовлення).
Цілі заняття:
Практичні:
— активізувати вживання лексики з теми заняття в усному мовленні і
читанні;
— удосконалювати фонетичні навички студентів;
— формувати вміння і навички в усіх видах мовленнєвої діяльності (читанні,
говорінні, аудіюванні, письмі, медіації);
— формувати навички вживання лексичних одиниць та граматичних
структур в усному мовленні студентів;
— стимулювати у студентів ситуативне мовлення англійською мовою;
— розвивати вміння діалогічного мовлення;
— збагачувати словниковий запас студентів.
Розвивальна:
— розвивати у студентів пізнавальні, аналітичні та мовленнєві здібності;
— розвивати логічне мислення, увагу, пам'ять й мовну здогадку студентів.
Освітня:
— розширити світогляд студентів про подорож, види квитків.
— розширити знання студентів про культуру і традиції народу, які
вивчаються у текстах з теми “Travelling. Bucket list”
Виховна:
— виховувати культуру мовлення;
— виховувати інтерес до англійської мови як засобу міжнародного
спілкування у бізнесі і туризмі.
Професійно-педагогічна мета: демонструвати студентам розмаїття методів та
способів, прийомів навчання іноземної мови та режимів на заняттях
(індивідуальний, фронтальний) з тим, щоб через набуття власного досвіду
оволодіння іноземними мовами сприяти формування у них методичних умінь
вчителя/викладача.
Обладнання заняття: відеофільм “Bucket list”, презентація “Bucket list with
crazy and amazing thing to do”, роздавальний матеріал – копії завдань для вправ,
підручники, ТЗН – комп’ютерна програма, фоно та відеофонограми.

I. Організація заняття .

I. Організація заняття .
1. Організаційний момент. Привітання.
Teacher/Students
— Good morning, students! How are you today? Are you in a good mood?
— Yes, we are.
— Glad to hear it! Hope, everybody is ready. Prepare your books and copybooks,
please.
2. Повідомлення теми, мети, основних завдань.
Teacher: Today we continue to discuss topic about “Travelling” The objective of the
lesson is to extend and sum up your knowledge to the theme “Travelling” and
continue to develop your skills and habits of monological and dialogue speech.

3. Мотивація навчальної діяльності.

Teacher: Students, you know that modern life is impossible without travelling. Some
people travel for pleasure and relaxation, some for business. We have at our use so
many means of travelling, for every taste and for every opportunity. I am sure that
majority of you have travelled a lot, like travelling and can share with us your
impressions.
4. Мовленнєва розминка.
4.1. Актуалізація опорних знань і контроль вихідного рівня знань студентів.
Teacher/Students
— Dear students, do you like to travel?
— Yes, of course
— Well, let’s talk about:
 Which countries have you visited?
 What kind of travelling do you prefer?
 Do you know the names of famous travelers?
(Students answer the questions)
Teacher: Now I give you piece of paper and you need to write your name and what
country do you want to visit. However, write so that no one can see, because we will
guess who want to visit which country. (Game)
Let’s guess!

Teacher: Students, please answer the questions:

 What ways of travelling do you know?
 What is the fastest way of travelling?
  What one is the most comfortable?
 What is the most enjoyable way of travelling?
(Students answer the questions)
Teacher: What are the advantages and disadvantages of different forms of transport?
Useful adjectives: cheap/ expensive, comfortable/ uncomfortable, fast/slow,
dangerous/ safe, reliable/ unreliable, relaxing/ stressful, convenient/ inconvenient,
exciting/ tiring

II. Основна частина заняття.
5. Формування вмінь і навичок:
5.1. Презентація нового лексичного матеріалу.
a) matching words in column 1 with words in column 2.
Teacher: Make compound nouns by matching words in column 1 with words in
column 2.

1) arrivals, baggage, buffet, check- in, departure, duty-free, hard, passport, petrol,
taxi, ticket, waiting;
2) reclaim, desk, hall, car, control, shoulder, gate, shop, office, station, room,
rank.

Teacher: Put the compound nouns into the correct group:

 (arrivals hall, baggage reclaim, buffet car, check-in-desk, departure gate, duty-free
shop, hard shoulder, passport control, petrol station, taxi rank, ticket office, waiting
room)

5.2 Зняття лексичних труднощів. Читання тексту з перекладом.

a) answer the question
Teacher: Why do people travel? (Students’ own answers)
b) read and match the people and their description.
Teacher: So, I prepared description 4 people who like travelling. Before you start
match the people and their description, you need read and translate.

1) a businessman; 2) a globetrotter; 3) a professor of History; 4) a coach potato.

a) He likes to travel alone or with his students. They travel from curiosity. They
like to see the beauty of the world and learn traditions of other countries. They
think that travelling is fascinating and enjoyable. It broadens our mind and
allows us to understand other people better.
b) He doesn’t like to travel at all. He believes that it’s better to stay at home,
because travelling is dangerous, troublesome and expensive.
c) He likes to travel alone or with his friends. Usually he travels for pleasure or in
search of adventures. When he travels, he likes to go sightseeing or explore
unknown places. He believes that travelling is exciting and gives us life
experience.
d) Usually he travels alone on business. When he travels, he likes to meet new
people. He thinks that travelling is useful but sometimes it is a bit tiring.

Teacher: As you see, people travel of different reasons, everybody likes travelling.
5.3 Перевірка розуміння змісту переглянутого фільму.
Teacher: Students, have you seen the film “Bucket list”?
(Students answer the questions)
Teacher: Let’s watch an excerpt of film “Bucket list”.

Teacher: So, answer the following questions:
 - Who do we see in the movie?
- What did you understand from this movie excerpt?
- What is a bucket list?
- What is written in their bucket list?
(Students answer the questions)
5.4 Відпрацювання лексичного матеріалу та удосконалювання
граматичних навичок.
a) Complete dialogue
Teacher: Well, next exercise is enjoyable activity. You are going to ask and answer
question about Mr. Thomson’s bucket list using the present perfect with “yet” and
“already”.
Teacher: You are good! Excellent!
5.5 Розвиток читання та удосконалювання фонетичних навичок.

Teacher: I have presentation for you. This is the “bucket list” with crazy and
amazing thing to do. Read and translate one by one.
Watching the presentation. (Додаткові матеріали)
5.6 Розвиток умінь мовлення.
Teacher: Students, I suggest you split into groups. Each of you will choose a color
and create a group. Each group should write your own bucket list. You have 5
minutes.

Teacher: Good job!

III. Завершення заняття.
6. Повідомлення та пояснення домашнього завдання.
Teacher: So, I’m satisfied with the lesson. You were very active today. You home
assignment for the next time is to write an essay “The world is a book and those
who do not travel read only one page”. You have to use new words and phrases.

7. Підсумки заняття. Оцінювання навчальних досягнень студентів.

Teacher: Today you worked very hard. While reading text, watching film and
presentation you got to know a lot new things. Besides, you had an excellent
opportunity to develop your listening and speaking skills. You should speak more.
Teacher: The lesson is over. Goodbye!
