I. Elements to consider when writing this cover letter

Working as an environmental health officer requires not only academic qualifications but also
certain skills and abilities to carry out the job to the required standards. Mentioning these skills
and abilities in the cover letter that will accompany your application will no doubt improve the
chances of you being taken through to the next round of the recruitment process.

Strong analytical skills and having a strong sense of attention to detail will certainly improve

the Evening Post. Due to the professional background that I have in industrial settings and
extensive knowledge of creating and implementing prevention programs, I feel that I am an
excellent candidate to make a positive contribution to your company and team.

Throughout my career I have gained the necessary experience to be very successful in this
sector. I have outstanding technical and project management skills, being able to manage
multiple projects at the same time without quality being affected and fulfilling my daily duties.

As you can see in more in-depth detail in my attached CV I have a deep knowledge and
understating the implementation of environmental management compliance systems, RCRA,
EPCRA, air quality, hazardous waste and material transportation requirements.

I also have experience conducting inspections of companies and facilities to ensure they are
following the laws and procedures. Alongside this I have excellent analytical skills, making
reports based on statistics and also following up complaints and deciding if they are legitimate
or not. I know the necessary procedures and actions to be taking to correct the problem.

My record keeping is of an excellent standard. My keen eye for detail is an excellent

contribution to my success at this job; whilst having outstanding communication skills I also
possess the ability to be assertive and discreet.
