Instructions in doing your Globalization Idol Paper

1. The Globalization Idol Paper is an individual paper which should be written in less than 5 pages
and not more than 7 pages including the references. Use Calibri font in 12-13 font size, 1 inch
margin on both sides and 1.5 paragraph spacing. .
2. Globalization Idol Paper is a 5-7 page write up about someone or something that has
contributed a lot to globalization. If a person, s/he can be an
economist/academician/researcher/politician/businessperson/inventor/founder of an
organization/etc. The person can be still alive or if dead, no more than 10 years. It can also be a
company or an idea, so long as this idea or company has reached global scale or influence. The
subject can exemplify what’s best in globalization (e.g. Mother Teresa of Calcutta), or what is
worst of globalization (e.g. Osama bin Laden). Their works or companies and influence must be
present in many countries (space-invariant) and must be present up to now (time-invariant).
Provide proof or evidence of how globalized your subject is, such as, but not limited to, if
company, branches in other countries, sales, profit, or employed in other countries. If person,
how his/her ideas shaped national and international policies; how s/he was able to improve or
created negative effect to the country. You can do research online as many of these are readily
available in the internet or Wikipedia.
3. Deadline for submission shall be on February 26.

OUTLINE
1. Introduction (it can be the state of the industry or genre of your idol)
2. Significant contributions of your idol to globalization (e.g. improving trade and
financial relations, better international peace and coordinated governance, welfare-
enhancing policies from his ideas/books/research, jobs/employment, poverty
reductions, better education, etc. )
Graphs and tables are most welcome and will be given bonus. 
3. On a personal level, why does this person or company inspire (or disgust) you?
