Brian,

I met with the math department today to go over the timeline. I have made a list of questions/comments/concerns below.

Kyler has the looping students. She said that all of the students who are not blue will be returning March 1st. She asked if
she could start the 2 week period March 1st instead of March 15th.
Concern was expressed about the 2 week "No new material" suggestion. We looked through our respective practice tests
and saw the breadth and depth of questions. We all have been pacing slowly and feel that these 2 weeks would be a
hindrance given the testing content has not been reduced. I explained that as the meeting got rolling, it seemed like the 2
week time period for middle school was more of a time to take inventory of what students have learned and reteach as
needed or use RTI groups, while still progressing in content (slowly). I talked about the idea of the continuous review that
was discussed in our meeting. We agreed that would be a better way so that we can still make some progress and work in
review.
Questions were asked about the MSDE/ MCAP development participation. I was asked if/when we would be
receiving confirmation of our participation. We were not sure if we could definitely plan on it and receive a PLF, or how
this would work.

Thank you,
