INTRODUCTION

This chapter explains about the background of the study, Significant of the study,
Research objectives, Research questions, Scope and limitations and definitions about this topic.
This chapter provides an idea generally on the field of study which is focusing on the Bakery
Business status in Barangay Ibabang Polo during pandemic. As a researcher he or she should
know the detail about this study so it will easier for him/her to proceed with the research. This
can be fulfilled by referring a lot of sources such as articles, journals, and also from the
dictionary.

Background study

The uncontrolled spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has surpassed all the
expectations. It was only on March 11th that the world health organization declared the
diseases as a pandemic. A pandemic is the worldwide spread of a new disease (WHO, 2020).
