Mouse Deer and Crocodile

One day, Mouse Deer(Noun) went down to the river(Uncountable Noun) to take a drink.

put one end into the water(Uncountable Noun). Chomp…! Crocodile(Noun) grabbed the
stick and pulled it underwater(Uncountable Noun). Mouse Deer(Noun) laughed. “Ha…
ha…ha… Stupid crocodile(Noun)! Cant you tell the difference between a stick and a
leg?” Then Mouse Deer(Noun) ran off to drink somewhere else.
In the next day, Mouse Deer(Noun) wanted to cross the river(Uncountable Noun). He
wanted to eat the fruits(Uncountable Noun) on the other side of the river(Uncountable

Crocodile(Noun) looked like a log when he floated. Mouse Deer(Noun) didn’t want to

idea. He called out loud, “Crocodile!” Crocodile(Noun) rose from the
water(Uncountable Noun), “Hello, Mouse Deer(Noun). Have you come to be my
lunch?” Mouse Deer(Noun) smiled. “Sorry, not today, Crocodile(Noun). I have orders
from the King(Proper Noun). He wants to invite all the crocodiles(Noun) in this river to
a party. He wants me to count all the crocodiles(Noun) so he could prepare enough meal
for you.”
“Really…? Tell us what to do,” said Crocodile(Noun). “You must line up from this side
of the river(Uncountable Noun) to the other side,” said Mouse Deer(Noun).
Crocodile(Noun) then got all his friends(Proper Noun) and family(Proper Noun). They
lined up across the river(Uncountable Noun). Mouse Deer(Noun) then jumped onto
Crocodile’s(Noun) back. “One,” he counted. He jumped onto the next crocodile, “Two.”
And the next crocodile, “Three.” Mouse Deer(Noun) kept jumping until he arrived on
the other side of the river(Uncountable Noun). “How many are there?” asked
Crocodile(Noun). “Just enough,” said Mouse Deer(Noun). He laughed as he ran to the
forest.
