Answer any two questions in a group and mail your answer through your CR.
Group leaders should write group number, roll numbers and names of the group

1. Shared power at the CEO level requires structuring of organization around two
individuals to legitimize their presence! Can this really happen? Explain this with
examples from the corporate world.

2. Macquarie managed the change with an approach that we don’t find in case of
L&T! What are the differences in approaches in managing change in these two
organizations? What would be your approaches for managing change in these
two organizations?

3. Differentiate between structuralist and reconstructionist approaches. Give


evidences from the corporate world where these two approaches have been
followed. You have to give your logic.

4. List two important points on organization structure issues from P&G and Unilever
case studies. How your identified issues have been addressed by the
companies in bringing structural change in their organizations?

5. Macquarie’s incremental adjustment process significantly delayed their response


to change! Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Justify your answer.

6. For Macquarie change is a process of learning through action! Justify for or


against this statement.

7. A co-CEO model requires organizational design to resolve the most pressing


immediate problems while ostensibly trying to address growth and sustenance of
the entity. For any structuring attempt to work, role clarity, processes,
boundaries, and incentives must be defined. This is required at levels below that
of the CEO also. Interpret.
