The West Philippine Sea is ours. It is clearly stated in our country's EEZ or exclusive
economic zone. But at this time China has full control over the West Philippine Sea as
if it’s their own. They prohibit Filipino fisherman and even threaten them to stay away
from the waters of West Philippine Sea. In my opinion we have already lost the territory
to the Chinese. They are already building structures on the West Philippine Sea, but
we cannot do anything.

The UN also said that Philippines and not China is the one who has control over the
West Philippine Sea. But right now, we cannot do anything. Our government does not
do anything about it, some people fight for it but without the support of the national
government especially the President we don’t have any chance to stop their
occupancy on the West Philippine Sea.

The president who has promised that he will fight for the West Philippine Sea during
the election campaign is turning a blind eye right now in this issue.
