OP calculation for FAST VP Enabled Arrays

We are using OP algorithm to derive the suggested OP values for VMAX thin pools.
1. We will provision the thin devices to servers from mid-tier “FC-10k” only on FAST Enabled arrays.
(EFD and SATA pools capacity will be fully used for FAST VP data movements).
2. If suppose arrays have only two tiers (FC10k, SATA) then we need to bound the devices to SATA tier only and FC10k Will be used for FAST VP Data
movements.
3. EFD and SATA pools max subscription will be set to zero so that EFD and SATA pools capacity will be used only for FAST VP data movements.
4. FC pools physical capacity + SATA pools physical capacity and Suggested OP values will be taken in to calculation for calculating new OP values
for FAST VP enabled arrays .
Ex:-
FC pool Physical capacity = 240 TB
Calculated OP value is = 150
Virtual capacity = 360 TB (240*1.5=360TB)
SATA pool Physical capacity = 163 TB
Calculated OP value is = 150
Virtual capacity = 244.5 TB (163*1.5=244.5TB)
SATA Pools Over Subscription = Virtual capacity – Physical capacity
244.5 - 163 = 81.5
Total Virtual capacity = FC pools Virtual capacity + SATA Pools Over Subscription=
360+81.5=441.5tb
Total Virtual capacity / Fc pools Physical capacity = New OP for FC pool.
441/240 = 183 % OP for FC10K pool.
