Teknologi Informasi memungkinkan kekuasaan pengambilan keputusan diserahkan
pada tingkat serendah mungkin.
Information Warfare (Perang Informasi)
A concept involving the battlespace use and management of information and
communication technology in pursuit of a competitive advantage over an opponent.

May involve the collection of tactical information, assurance(s) that one's own
information is valid, spreading of propaganda or disinformation to demoralize or
manipulate the enemy and the public, undermining the quality of the opposing force's
information and denial of information-collection opportunities to opposing forces.

Information warfare is closely linked to psychological warfare

Advantages
1. Weapons are more accurate.
2. Greater communication capabilities.
3. Ability to fly and shoot in bad weather and low visibility situations.
4. Ability to identify friendly forces.
5. Technology allows military personnel to engage the enemy at a safer distance.
Disadvantages
1. Infantry can become to reliant on modern rifle telescopes.
2. Technology is expensive.
3. Computers assisting pilots can malfunction.
4. Computers can add weight to vehicles and personnel.
5. The increased effectiveness of weapons is a danger for both sides of the
battlefield.
