Model 441 Maintenance Manual Model 441 Illustrated Parts Catalog TPE331-8 Engine Maintenance Manual TPE331-8 Engine Illustrated Parts Catalog procedures for the engine power management system have been substantially revised in Revision 10 to the Model 441 Maintenance Nanual, Chapter 76. The procedures have been revised such that only 897110-11 and subsequent dash number fuel control assemblies are considered to be installed on the airplane. The Model 441 Maintenance Manual requires modification of 897110-8 or replacement of lower dash numbered fuel control assemblies before adjustments can be accomplished. 1, The following publications are attached and should be referred to as required in Steps 2. and 3. There are engine performance and operating differences between Fuel Control, Part No. 897110-11 and Part No. 897110-12. Fuel Con- trol, Part No. 897110-11 and 897110-12 that are mixed, may continue in operation as long as the operational requirements can be met as speci- fied in Cessna 441 Maintenance Manual, Section 76-10-00, Manual Mode Check. One Time Adjustment of Fuel Control and Computer for use of Aviation Gas (100LL, 80/87 octane) NOTE: Confirm that both engines are prepared for adjustments and operation in ac- cordance with Engine Maintenance Man- ual revision dated May 1, 1979 or subsequent. (1) Remove engine cowling in accordance with Aircraft Main- tenance Manual to gain access to fuel control. (2) Perform Delta P valve adjustment as follows. (see figure 1.) (a) Hold adjusting screw in position, and loosen the self locking jam nut counterclockwise (ccw). (>) Turn adjustment screw in, clockwise (cw) one and one-quarter turns, (c) Hold adjustment screw in position and tighten self locking jam nut clockwise (cw). (a) Reidentify fuel control in accordance with step 7). (3) Reinstall engine cowling in accordance with Aircraft Maintenance Manual. (4) Perform computer adjustment as follows. Reason q) Mar 17/80 Problem: When changing from aviation jet fuel to avia- tion gasoline, engines with Fuel Control Assembly, Part No. 897110-8, were, on occasion not able to achieve takeoff power under certain ambient conditions after adjustment had been made in accordance with Service Bulletin TPE331-73-0093. The use of aviation gasoline also resulted in a downward shift of the overspeed gov- ernor set point.
