“BONDAGE”
Just look at her. Skin as vibrant as honey dew, as pale as snow, perfect body, tall and
skinny like a tree. I despise her. Even her clothes infuriate me. So bright and colorful.
Disgusting. Imagination. Everyone loves her and how free and creative she is. But no one likes
me. No one asks Bondage to help them. They all say “Bondage all you do is hold people back”,
“no one’s ever going to love you Bondage because you tear down their walls and subjugate them
so they’ll never reach for the stars…”.
I can’t help that I’m like this! This is the way I was born. I have restrictions of my own
that were created by instinct.
But I see now. I understand why no one likes me. They won’t ask me for help, I can’t
even help myself. I have one friend in this world: Control. I believe we’re friends because we
both have been suppressed by our own deficits. We both have tolls and burdens on our lives that
we can’t manage to bear. We both like to seclude ourselves because it’s better to be isolated than
be shunned. We both wear dark colors-preferably black- because it’s easier to disappear. They
made us feel this way; Imagination, Innocence, Creativity. With their choice of liberation.
Control and I don’t get that choice. We despise them.
I chose the quality of Bondage. She loathes Imagination, Creativity, and Innocence
because they have the chance and confidence to create new ideas, concepts, and phenomenon.
Whether it is in their heads or in real life. They have characteristics that she lacks. Bondage is
closest to Control because they both have attributes that hold them back. Whether its Control’s
worries and doubts of things not arising to her expectations, or Bondage’s inability to get over
the things she thinks she can’t do-confining Bondage to the walls in her head.
