Dear Hiring Manager, I was very excited to see a career opportunity from your company. I made the research about the role and its requirements. With my qualifications and skills, I think I am a considerable candidate for this role. I don't have work experiences in the companies before because I was struggling with depression and anxiety since I was in my second year in the University. However, I did pass every semester and graduated with an Honours Degree. After graduating in June of 2019, I tried to apply for the jobs in the UK. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any job before my visa expired. Therefore, I had to come back to Myanmar and move back in with my family in October of 2019. Since then, I did freelance design projects for a number of clients, hoping to support myself financially. However, the pay rates in Myanmar is very low that it’s impossible for most of the people to live independently. Living in a household with domestic violence and a country with no protection against it, I have decided to apply for jobs abroad. Even though I have a degree in Architecture, I have a year of work experience in Design and illustration and working freelance had taught me time management, working with deadlines and communicating with the clients. Thave considered myself as a victim, I thought I was weak and I thought I would need someone to save me from my miserable life. At 22 years old, I realised that I could just walk out of the situation and be strong. That’s why I have decided to take responsibility for myself and trying my best to be financially independent. With the Covid-19 case happening, it’s a lot more difficult to achieve my goals. But I'm not giving up. Ihave been through so much for someone my age, giving up now would be silly. Even though my reason for applying the job is personal, I can guarantee that your company will get a hundred percent of my professional capabilities. I can also move/ travel for work if needed. Since I am a Generation Z, I can not only bring a new perspective to your company but also learn from the traditional way of working.
