BLASTING WORKS a
OBJECTIVES
‘This section defines the relevant (minimum) safety aspects when undentalclag:
blasting work activities and associated operations that the SOeRACToR aes
required to comply at SITE. This section shall be read in tandem with the “safe heditiig
and use of explosives” requirements. 2 ‘
RESPONSIBILITIES OF CONTRACTOR
CONTRACTOR shall supervise any blasting work activities and associated:

First Warning Signal ; Five (5) long signals. A physical inspection of that
blasting’ area shall be undertaken by the shotfire-in-charge (ie. Rs

CONTRACTOR shall be responsible to ensure that the necessary, notices and
information related to conduct of blesting work ectivities and operations of the related
‘material and equipment are issued/delivered in the tool box talk prior to the start of the
job activity and on a regular basis.
