[1] Joshua was described in 2013 by Dr. Nicole Grimes

as a genius; one of the smartest kids in the world. He was
recognized internationally for his extraordinary educational
achievements. Joshua learned to read fluently by the time he
was two. He also taught himself to type on a computer before
he could write using a pencil. He was speaking Japanese by the
age of three.

[2] Joshua’s father noticed that he was different when

he was ten months old. He used to sit on his father's lap when
he was using his computer at home. He said that Joshua was fascinated by the keyboard and would try
to press the keys while his father was typing. Joshua showed his father a different key on the keyboard
each day, and then numbers. By the time Joshua was one year old, he could point to all the letters and
numbers. Specialists said that he has a photographic memory.

[3] Joshua started studying at Oxford University at the age of six, making him the youngest
student to ever be accepted to study there. He did a master class in philosophy for high achieving
students and passed with a distinction. ''It was a great experience and it taught me that I can have the
confidence to do anything,'' says Joshua. He was also the youngest person ever to give a talk at the
International Conference in Vienna in 2016.

[4] Joshua was seven years old when he was diagnosed

with autism*. This did not affect his motivation and goals. His
father explained to him that he was born with lots of gifts and
that he learned differently from other people. He also let him
read books which explain what autism is. Inspired to help people
with autism, Joshua also serves as the face of the National
Autistic Society’s campaign. He helps to spread the campaign’s
mission of highlighting obstacles autistic people face when
trying to obtain access to necessary support and services.

[5] During an interview, Rosie Osborne, a photographer and blogger, asked Joshua: “What’s the
best piece of advice you would like to pass on to others?” He answered her saying: '' Live your dreams!
Never give up and don’t listen to people who try to put you down. Also, create new goals that you know
you can achieve.''
