Length of a straight line

The length of a straight line is the distance between two points on a line.
Formula: (𝑥2 − 𝑥1)^2 + (𝑦2 − 𝑦1)^2
The length of the line is found by choosing two end points A(x1,y1) and B(x2,y2) of the straight
line and inserting those values into the formula aforementioned.
Examples:
- Given, (x1, y1) = (-3, 5)
(x2, y2) = (8, -1)
Use the formula:

(𝑥2 − 𝑥1)^2 + (𝑦2 − 𝑦1)^2

(8 + 3)^2 + (− 1 − 5)^2

11/2-6/2
=12.5
- Given, (x1, y1) = (4, 5)
(x2, y2) = (6, 7)

(𝑥2 − 𝑥1)^2 + (𝑦2 − 𝑦1)^2

(6 − 4)^2 + (7 − 5)^2
= 3. 3
