Matthew 6:22-24 22“The eye is the lamp of the body; so, then if your eye is
clear, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole
body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how
great is the darkness! 24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will
hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the
other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

1. According to verses 22-23, in what way is the eye the lamp of the body?
2. What is the difference between having a clear eye and a bad eye?
3. According to verse 24, why can we have only one spiritual master?
4. How does an over-focus on wealth and material things darken your eye
and prevent you from loving and serving God completely?

Dear Father, help us to focus on things that are of value to You. Turn our
hearts away from things that will keep us from having an intimate
relationship with You. Empower us to serve You wholeheartedly. In Jesus’
