 The ways to
equal 10:
 Greet students
 1+9
5 minutes  Ask them to pull out their mini white boards and to make multiple
 2+8
ways of equal 10 from using the numbers in between 1-9.
 3+7
 4+6

 Get them raise their hands and answer your question and write them
on the board for the students to see.
10 minutes
 Review how many ways students can equal 10 from using the
numbers in between 1-9.

 Introduce the game called 10’s Snap


 Get a stack of playing cards and make sure to tell them to remove
 Picture cards:
the picture cards from the card deck.
5 minutes Jacks, kings,
 Take about it in front of the class, then bring them all together queens, jokers
around 1 table and use one student as a demo and show them how to
play the game.

 Then to find a spot to play in the classroom.
