The given line graph illustrates the various ways in communication of adolescents in one state in the
United States.

Overall, while the use of text messages and calls on cell phones rose in popularity among all US
adolescents, the opposite was true for that of emailing from Nov 2006 to Sep 2009. Additionally, it is
also notable that emailing was always the lowest percentage of the number of teenagers using it.

In Nov 2006, Calls on cell phone was the most popular method of communication of juveniles in this
state, attracting 35 percent of teenagers and then the data grew steadily to 40 percent throughtout
the period. Texting messages started at roughly 28 percent and surpassing the other two types
contact as calling on cellphones and talking face-to-face to become the most widely used to
communicate at the end of the period about 55 percent.

By contrast, the use of email was of the little preference at the beginning, with only 15 percent using
it. After that, the figure for percentage using email to contact saw a gradual decline to ten percent to
10 percent. As it can be seen, there was a dramatic fluctuation in the number of using direct
communication around 30 and 40 perent, but it saw no change as the beginning at the end of
peirod.
