I am a new graduate who just completed my dietetic internship through Illinois State
University’s Distance Program. I was responsible for securing all rotation sites and
creating my schedule. I completed over 1000 hours of supervised practice in Community
Nutrition, Foodservice and Clinical Nutrition. My schooling and experience as a
pharmacy tech for the last 8 years has shaped me into a determined, hardworking
individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

During my Dietetic Internship, I was able to develop qualities that allow me to function
as a member of any interdisciplinary team. I have the knowledge, confidence and time-
management skills to work as an entry level Dietitian for any organization. Some of my
qualifications include:
 Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from James Madison University accredited by
ACEND
 Completion of accredited Dietetic Internship
o 1086 hours of supervised practice
 Eligible to sit for the Registered Dietitian Exam
 Ability to perform nutrition screening and assessments using the Nutrition Care
Process
 Ability to utilize ASPEN care guidelines for initiating and advancing nutrition
support
 Bilingual; Fluent in English and Spanish
