CONTENT STANDARD:
The learners will learn to use these traits in a right way and how to apply it in their daily living.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
Create a poem portraying the importance of the different traits and how the students will apply it in their daily lives.
ESSENTIAL UNDERSTANDING:
Pride is an attitude of self-centeredness.
Being humble doesn’t mean that you let everyone tell you what to do.
True confidence can only be found in GOD.
Orderliness is doing everything at the proper time in its proper order.
Diligence is a character trait that that is not commonly found in people today.
ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
What is pride?
How can we humble ourselves?
Where can we found true confidence?
What is orderliness?
Do we commonly found diligence in people today?
COMPTENCIES:
The students are expected to:
Contrast humility to it opposite, pride, which is the heart of sin.
Identify the original sin relayed to Satan’s pride and discuss the harmful effects of this characteristics.
Describe Jesus Christ as the greatest example of humility.
Learn how to change haughty behavior to humble behavior.
Define confidence and relate it to the study of humility.
Use scripture to counter the negative emotions of fear and doubt.
Expand, enrich and suggest application of concepts related to building confidence.
Learn why being orderly is so important.
Demonstrate their understanding of the character traits of humility, confidence and orderliness.
Learn that believers can show diligence in many ways.
Recognize that God blesses those who are diligent.
Identify Biblical examples of diligence and the subsequent blessings.
Will derive a sense of “Winners never quit, and quitters never win”.
Discuss the importance of prayer and study the outline of Jesus’ model prayer.
Affirm that prayer is a critical component in our relationship with GOD and will identify the five types of prayer described in the scripture.
Study aspects of prayer in GOD’s word.
Share information on aspects of prayer and will appreciate the desire of GOD that we pray to Him.
