Today I’d like to talk about some trends and changes that are happening in my hometown.

The city where I live is changing in many ways, but in my talk I will focus only on positive
changes. Firstly, I will talk about how my city is changing. Then, I will explain what I think
and how I feel about these trends and changes. One of the positive changes that I notice is
about the city infrastructure improvements. Lots of new roads are being built between the city
centre and the villages by the city government, so rural to urban migration is gradually
decreasing. The government is also investing and developing public transportation in my city,
so the transportation system is getting better and better. Other changes are about facility
improvements to people stay healthy. The city government is renovating the parks and the
sports fields. Also, a bicycle path is being built, in this way the city government aims to that
people in this city are getting healthier and healthier. It also is building a botanical park to
inform people about harmful plants and It offers free swimming courses to prevent people
from drowning in the sea. The last changes are about technological improvements. Most of
the buildings are demolishing and new smart buildings are built. The street lamps and benches
are being replaced by new smart ones. The most advantage of these changes is that people can
charge their phones and they can access free wifi thanks to solar energy. I feel good about
these changes and trends because I think our quality of life is getting better and better.
