1. 5 MIN: Teacher plays the HELLO SONG and encourages ss to sing along. Later, she asks ss how their

weekends were.

2. 5 MIN: Show ss a picture of our city and ask them which places can they see and elicits ss answers.

3. 10 MIN: page 82 (SB) GIVE ME FIVE 2, ex. 1 & 2.

4. 10 MIN: page 83, ex. 1 & 2. (intro to THERE IS/THERE ARE)

5. 20 MIN: Watch the video. https://youtu.be/z2nArLItBXU Discuss what is it about. Write THERE IS /

THERE ARE and elicit ss to provide examples from the video and to create examples of their own as

well. Use those to derive the rules and the uses for each structure. Ask ss to copy all that info alongside

with the date and how they feel.

6. 15 MIN: practice PAGE 81 (Activity Book) ex 1 & 2.

7. 15 MIN: game – hangman PPT

8. HOMEWORK: PAGE 80 EX 1 & 2.

1. 10 MIN: Teacher plays the HELLO SONG and encourages ss to sing along. Later, she asks ss about their

plans for the weekend. Check HW.

2. 10 MIN: The T ask ss what’s their favourite part of the city and elicits ss answers. She also asks for a

short description of the place encouraging ss to use the structure THERE IS / THERE ARE.

3. 10 MIN: ask ss which places they visited while they were on holiday. Tell them they are going to read

about Ben and the places he visited on holiday. Before reading: ask ss to guess which places Ben could

have visited. Check their guesses after reading. Story page 84 & 85 SB.

4. 15 MIN: Do ex. 1 & 2 from page 82 AB.

5. 15 MIN: Show ss a picture and ask each of them how to get to a particular place. They will have to use

the prepositions/directions they know, with the doubts that come up as regards “how to say some

words”, the T will write and draw the directions on the board. (use the annotation tool). Allow ss to

copy all that information.

6. 10 MIN: Do ex. 1 & 2 from page 83 AB.

7. 10 MIN: Guessing game! Divide ss into two teams, they should all be muted. The t projects a picture of

a city and gives directions, the ss have to guess which place is being referred to by giving those

directions. The have to use a reaction to let the T know they want to speak.
