Helpful Terms and People To Know:

Mastaba: a type of Egyptian tomb, of rectangular shape, a flat roof and sloping
sides. The word derives from the Arabic for "bench", due to the similarity
between these structures and modern Egyptian stone benches. 

Slab stela: a type of funerary stele, commonly found at Giza during the reign of
Khufu. They show the deceased seated in front of a table of offerings, and are
incribed with the deceased's name, titles, and offering lists.  

Reserve heads: these mysterious sculptures have been found in several tombs,
most of them from Giza, and show some traces of portraiture and individual
likenesses. Their purpose is still unclear.
