This change is sudden, and you did not do anything to cause it except pressing some keys on your keyboard. Here is how to fix this issue and what causes it: Problem description: My computer's display turns black and white While working on your Windows 10 PC, the screen switched from color to black and white, or grayscale, like in the screenshot below. You have no idea what caused this and restarting Windows 10 does not fix the problem. Also, if you update your video card drivers, nothing changes. Fortunately, the solution is fast and easy. You do not have to waste any time reinstalling or updating drivers or Windows 10. The solution: disable the Windows 10 color filters The easy way is to press the following keyboard shorteut: Windows + CTRL + C. Your screen gets back to color again. If you press Windows + CTRL + C, it tums black and white again, and so on. This keyboard shortcut enables or disables color filters for the screen, These are created for people with sight problems so that they can enable a certain filter and better see what is on the sereen, To disable the active grayscale color filter, you can also use the mouse or touch: open Settings [https: //www.digitalcitizen.1ife/introducing- windows-10-ways-open-sett ings] and go to Ease of Access. This problem happened without realizing it, because you pressed the Windows + CTRL + C keyboard shortcut and activated the grayscale color filter in Windows 10.
