Family Resource Center Celebrates First Anniversary

What: Manzanita Park Family Resource Center, partner of the Raise Foundation, is
celebrating its first year anniversary. The Family Resource Center will be hosting a
painting event for any family who has utilized the resource center over the duration of
time it has been open. Both children and adults are welcomed and will be provided
with the supplies necessary to partake in the event.

Why: The event is held to raise awareness and give opportunity for those passionate
about strengthening families and the well-being of children. Through this event,
there is the chance to educate people all throughout Orange County about the issue
of child abuse and neglect and the great strides being made in prevention based on
strengthening families.

Who: The Raise Foundation is dedicated to stopping the cycle of abuse through education,
advocacy, community collaboration, and comprehensive services for families and
children. The organization connects families with the services and basic needs that
help them to become stronger healthier families. Services include culturally sensitive
health education, including assistance with a health insurance enrollment, classes
such as anger management, counseling, and family programs.

Where: The event will take place outdoors at Manzanita Park Family Resource Center in
Anaheim, Calif. Address is 1260 N Riviera St.

When: The event is on Sunday, July 10 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Visual: The attendees of the event will each paint a small picture that will then become a
large mural which will be on display at the Manzanita Park Family Resource Center
to showcase the one-year anniversary.
