● The Raise Foundation was founded by Bobby Barzi, and is headquartered in

Costa Mesa, Calif.

● Since 1974, The Raise Foundation has grown into a dynamic, well-respected,
non-profit organization serving all of Orange County.

● The Raise Foundation was incorporated as a private non-profit 501(c)(3)

agency in 1987 under the name The Child Abuse Prevention Council of
Orange County.

● In 1999, the agency name changed to Prevent Child Abuse – Orange County.

● In 2003, the agency name changed to The Raise Foundation to better

describe our work of helping to raise happy, healthy children with a strong
foundation of support.

● The goal of The Raise Foundation is to prevent child abuse by strengthening

families and collaborating with other family-serving agencies to maximize
impact while reducing duplication of services.

● The Raise Foundation offers a variety of services and resources including:

○ Family Resource Centers
○ Resources in Motion
○ Annual Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Conference
○ Food Distribution Events & Adopt a Family
○ Awareness Campaigns/Advocacy

● The Raise Foundation is a partner agency with seven Family Resource

Centers across Orange County.
