In September 2020, the pain become more frequent, patient hardly walk more than 200

meters due to pain on her knee. She visited physician and referred to orthopaedic surgeon at
Elisabeth Hospital Semarang. She was diagnosed with osteoarthritis on her right knee. She was
advised to have a right knee surgery.
In March 2021, patient undergo total knee surgery at her right knee at dr. Kariadi Hospital
Semarang. Currently, after the surgery, She still felt dull pain on her right knee without radiation,
numbness, tingling nor weakness.
She can ambulate with walker independently inside home but still scared to walk outside
beacause fear of falling. She can’t walk for more than 100 m because of the operated knee was
still painful, warm and swollen. She also have difficulty when climb up and down stairs in her
house. For daily activities she walks using walker. The patient routinely walking around her
house using a walker 2x/day. She can do eating, bathing, toileting, grooming and dressing
independently. She wears glasses and can see clearly. She did not feel any problem with her
hearing. There was no excessive loss of weight and appetite. She eats 2-3 times a day. She eats a
plate of rice or porridge with variety of meat, vegetables and fruits. She sometimes consume
biscuits in snack time. She drinks water about 3-4 glass/day. There was no problem with defecate
and urinate. The patient had no difficulty with sleeping, she usually sleep at 10 pm and wake up
at 05.00 am in the morning.
There is no shortness of breath when walking, there is no any pain other than the knee.
She was active in community before the surgery, but now she does not participate in social
activities yet such as “arisan RT” in her neighborhood. She can accept her condition. She has
positive insight and hopes that she can soon be able to walk normally without any pain.

II.3. History of Past Medical Condition

There are not any history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, heart disease, trauma.and previous
falls.

II.4. History of Family Illness

There are not any history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and heart disease.

II.5. History of Medication


No regular medication, only over the counter medicine and NSAID after surgery.
