STRAIGHT PACK STRAWBERRY PUREE WITH SEEDS
Strawberry Puree obtained from properly washed, unacidified, unfermented,
unsweetened, ripened strawberries. The berries should be properly cleaned,
stemmed and sorted to assure there is no extraneous material present in the final
puree. Puree from juice stock berries must have a min. brix of 8. There is zero
tolerance for HEM. Reference USDA File Code 172-A-L, No Class 4 Defects.
No preservatives should be added. The puree shall be processed and packed in
accordance with good manufacturing practices and maintained at temperatures
necessary for the preservation of the product (01 F or lower). Inspection records
shall indicate the product complies with the requirements listed. All lots/codes
should be clearly identified on each individual container.
‘The puree should be run through a large enough screen to assure there is no loss
of seeds or seeds are broken to the point when seed identity is lost. There should
be no lumping or separation and very little air incorporated into the finished pails.

FLAVOR & ODOR: Typical of ripe strawberries. Free from off-flavors and off-odors
SEED RETENTION: The puree should have seed identity consistent of pureed whole strawberries.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Product and Processing facilities conform to the applicable provision of the U.S, Federal Food, Drug and
Cosmetic Act as amended. All containers are marked with legible production codes. All processing lines that
the juice is processed must have metal detectors.
2. A Certificate of Analysis must be submited with eack lofeade received from the Manuficturer. CoA must accompany
the load and a copy emailed to coa@lyonsmagrus.com. This should include: Lot/code Number, Brix, T.A., pH,
Color, Clarity, Microbiological results, Patulin (if applicable), Statement of Authenticity, Country of Origin
and any other pertinent information. No more than three lot codes per shipment will be accepted.
8. If received in a bulk tanker the following should be received with the load. Certification only food grade
‘material is hauled in the tanker with listing of last loads, wash tag certifying proper cleaning and sanitizing,
poundage or gallonage of the shipment.
4. One lot will be randomly selected from shipments to Lyons on an annual basis for authenticity testing. Test
expenses to be covered by packer/ manufacturer.
All containers shipping the product must be sealed to ensure the load has not been tampered.
For Apple products: Daminozide-Free Certification and guarantee of legal Patulin levels.
7. AllLyons-Magnus Supplier documentation must be received and approved prior to first shipment. Received
raw material must match pre-approved sample.
Failure to comply with these requirements may constitute rejection of the shipment.
9. Lyons Magnus will routinely test the said product for any or all attributes contained in this specification,
failed results will result in possible rejection of ot(s) or vendor disqualification,
