1. All candidates shall register with any ZIMSEC Examination Centre of their choice
and no registration shall be done at any ZIMSEC office throughout the country.
2. One can only register as a private candidate if he/she has a National Identity
Document (Metal, Plastic or Green Waiting Identity Document) or a Passport that
will remain valid on the date of the Examination. Head of Examination Centres shall
not register private candidates without proper documents as private.
3. Prospective candidates under the age of sixteen (16) shall not register as private
candidates as most of them do not have the Identity documents
4. Centre Heads shall be in charge of the whole registration process and ensure that all
amendments are submitted before the deadline given by the Council in writing.
ZIMSEC shall not allow registration of candidates under any circumstance after the
set deadline. No candidate is allowed to add any subject after the registration
deadline.
6. All Examination Centre Heads shall not allow an unregistered person to seat for any
Examination as the results shall not be processed at any cost.
7. All appeals to register candidates after the final closing date of registration shall be
made through the office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Primary and
Secondary Education and granted by the ZIMSEC director.
