Acrylic Sealer

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Acrylic Sealer is used for exterior or interior applications. It is a solvent-based acrylic that
can be used on smooth or course concrete. Acrylic Sealer provides the wet look, enhancing
the appearance of stained or colored concrete. It can be used to provide protection to
exterior concrete surfaces such as; driveways, walkways, patios, pool areas, balcony areas,
precast, etc.

COMPOSITION
It is a solvent-based acrylic that allows moisture to escape from the concrete slab. Acrylic
Sealer is made up of a solution of solvents and acrylic. It is 35% solids. In order to ease
application, this product may be diluted using xylene.

ADVANTAGES
Acrylic Sealer yields many advantages for its customers:
" Ease of application, it may be sprayer or roller applied
" It dries in just a few hours
" This sealer weathers well, and is resistant to yellowing
" It seals the surface
" It protects the substrate
" Not only easy application, but also easy reapplication.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Due to the nature of the Acrylic, the importance of following the proper application procedure
has a direct impact on the final appearance. The MSDS Sheets must be read in full prior to
using this product. It is highly recommended by Liquid Stone that any
individual who will be applying this product attend a training seminar to ensure proper handling
and professional results.

FLOOR PREP/CLEANING
1. Most important in the coating process is working on a clean surface. All concrete surfaces
must be obviously and noticeably clean, dry, structurally sound and free from dirt. Challenges
will be removing lino/carpet glue, dust, oil, grease, solvents, paint, wax, asphalt, curing and
sealing compounds, surface hardeners, bond breakers, adhesive residue, and other
contaminants. Remember that the seal is transparent and will not cover a poorly cleaned
surface and can impact the entire sealing process. Anything left on the surface, for example
dirt, lint etc. will show through the seal and may affect the bond between the coating and the
surface.

APPLICATION
2. During the sealing process, the surface temperature must be between 50L-86LF (10L-30LC).
3. Prior to working with Acrylic Sealer, the Material Safety Data Sheet must be reviewed.
4. The area to be stained must be well ventilated. Please note that protective gloves and
goggles must be worn when working with Acrylic.
5. The drying time is a minimum of 12 hours after the floor has been washed.
6. It is recommended to use a solvent resistant pump up pressure sprayer or you could apply
using a roller with the following method. Pour into tray and apply with a lint free roller. Dip
roller into tray and apply an 8 foot strip. Wet roller again, roll another 8 feet, and continue
for approximately 6-8 rows. Now cross roll in the opposite direction using the sealer that is
left on the surface from the first rows. DO NOT dip the roller when cross rolling.
