NEWS RELEASE

Recently, a now former employee of the Communications Division tendered her resignation. Prior to her sep-
aration, an email was sent to employees within the police department alleging improper comments and con-
duct made by personnel within Communications. These claims had been previously investigated by our Inter-
nal Affairs Division and the findings were subsequently forwarded to the Chief of Police and then on to Hu-
man Resources for further review.

As this is a personnel issue, the Department is prohibited from speaking on the matter and unable to disclose
the results of that initial internal investigation. Additionally, allegations of racism have also been forwarded,
per city and departmental policy, to the City of Little Rock’s Human Resources Department.
