ALTERNATIVE COOLING DEVICE USING DIRECT CURRENT FOR THE BENEFIT

OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS IN DHVTSU

I. INTRODUCTON
DHVTSU is one of the largest Universities in Central Luzon. But even though it has good and
spacious rooms, it doesn’t have good cooling system in all rooms. Having poor cooling system can lead
students to bore during class and make them easily distracted because they are already distracted to the
hot surrounding. Having a good cooling system can help students focus all throughout the class
discussion.

II. OBJECTIVES
1. To provide an alternative cooling device using direct current.
2. To prove the theoretical computation of a circuit is as equal to the actual computation.
3. To make the students feel comfortable all throughout the class.

III. RESEARCH QUESTION

1. Can an alternative cooling device make the student feel comfortable during the class?
2. Are theoretical computations of a circuit equal the actual computations?
3. What is the percentage error in the computation?

IV. RESEARCH MATERIALS

- BREAD BOARD
- CONNECTING WIRES
- 4 RESISTORS
- 4 SWITCHES
- 1 DC MOTOR
- BATTERY

V. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
First of all, place the motor at the end of the bread board. Next, connect each other end of the
motor to the positive and negative terminal of the board. Then, place a resistor in series with the motor.
Then place 3 consecutive resistors along with 3 switches parallel to the motor along with the resistor
connected in series to it. Then, put a switch, in series with last resistor and parallel with the battery,
connected in the positive terminal which is the button to enable the circuit. Then, connect the positive
and negative terminal of the battery consecutively to the positive and negative terminal of the board.
Lastly, you can now start your computation.
