I am writing to express my interest in applying for the elementary school teaching position that
has been posted. I would love to join your community as an elementary teacher. In May 2021,
I will be graduating from Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary
Education. Building connections, using technology to effectively enhance the classroom, and
differentiating instruction based on the needs of my students are just a few of the things I can
offer.

I build strong relationships with students, faculty, and parents by attending school events,
participating in district meetings, and communicating via newsletters, e-mails, phone calls,
and conferences. I will bring high energy, creativity, and the attitude of a team player to your
school. I am confident in my abilities to be a successful educator in your district.

I am currently working on my year-long student teaching experience in a 2nd grade classroom

in Madison, SD. In addition to student teaching, I’ve had other opportunities to work with
elementary age students. These experiences include teaching religious education in my
church, being a 5th grade teacher’s aid, long-term substitute teaching, and many other
volunteer involvements. I have a passion for working with children and couldn’t imagine
myself in any other profession.

I am excited about the opportunity to join your team of educators and contribute my various
strengths to one of your classrooms. I would love to assist your school in the continuation of
