Astronomy

Facts about astronomy
● My first fact that I learned about astronomy is that the Earth is closer
to the Sun in January than it is in july because the Earth axis is tilted
so when the temperature changes when we get closer and farther
away from the sun.
● My second fact is that the outer and inner planets are really far away
and they an asteroid belt in between them. I also learned that if we put
all of the planets on a scale it would go from the football go all the way
to the baseball fields at Hoffman Park.
Facts about Astronomy (Part 2)
● There is someone named Greta Thumberg who was a really great
view on things. (in my opinion) Greta is a 17 year-old from sweden.
Greta is an environmental activist, which means she advocates for the
protection of the environment.
● I learned a lot about Uranus is our partner solar system project. For
example, Uranus orbits the sun on its side, Uranus also ia 4 times
larger than the earth. Uranus is the 7th planet in the solar system it is
also the coldest in the solar system too!
My Question

What are blacks holes, and are there any close to us that
\ could be a threat?
Answer to Question
A black hole is a place in space where gravity pulls really strongly to
one spot, where even light cannot escape. The gravity is really strong
because matter has been squeezed in a really tiny space. This action
can happen when a star is dying. Black holes are big and small some
are only one atom and some are 20 times the mass of the sun, these
black holes are called stellar black holes. Scientists think that there
may be many stellar black hole in the Earth's galaxy. (The Milky Way)
